Visitor visa
Application strategy, purpose-of-travel evidence, finances, host documents and supporting submissions for a temporary visit.
Temporary residence · Visit Canada
A strong application should clearly explain who will travel, why the visit is temporary, how it will be funded and what evidence supports the plan. MZIC helps applicants and their Canadian hosts present those facts consistently.
More than an invitation
IRCC considers the applicant’s purpose of travel, finances, employment or other commitments, family circumstances, travel history, immigration history and the information provided by the Canadian host.
Super Visa applications involve additional requirements for eligible parents and grandparents, including host eligibility and income, qualifying medical insurance, a medical examination and other current program conditions.
Visitor services
Application strategy, purpose-of-travel evidence, finances, host documents and supporting submissions for a temporary visit.
Review of the parent or grandparent relationship, host requirements, financial evidence, insurance and applicant documentation.
Guidance for eligible visitors seeking to extend their authorized stay in Canada before their current status expires.
Assessment of refusal reasons, the previous submission, evidence gaps and whether a revised application may be appropriate.
Where MZIC can help
The documents and explanation should reflect the applicant’s actual circumstances rather than a generic invitation or purpose-of-travel template.
Review the applicant’s history, proposed visit, available funds and the host’s status, relationship and role.
Identify evidence that supports the timing, duration, arrangements and temporary nature of the visit.
Examine who will pay, whether the funds are available and how their source and movement can be documented.
Assist with forms, documents and submissions, or provide a detailed review before filing, according to the retained scope.
Family immigration planning
A visitor or Super Visa does not provide permanent residence. Families considering a permanent pathway should separately assess whether an eligible sponsorship program is available.
Common questions
No. An invitation letter can help explain the purpose and arrangements for a visit, but IRCC assesses the complete application, including finances, travel purpose, immigration history and whether the applicant is likely to comply with temporary-residence conditions.
A visitor visa is a travel document that may allow a visa-required person to travel to a Canadian port of entry. A visitor record is a status document that sets or extends the period a visitor may remain in Canada. A visitor record is not a visa.
The Super Visa is intended for eligible parents and grandparents of Canadian citizens or permanent residents. The applicant and host must meet the current requirements, which include relationship, financial-support, medical-insurance and other admissibility conditions.
The appropriate response depends on the refusal reasons, the previous application and whether stronger or corrected evidence is available. Reapplying without addressing the underlying concerns may lead to another refusal.
No. IRCC decides visa applications, and a border services officer makes the final entry decision at the port of entry. No representative can guarantee either decision.
