Express Entry involves two separate questions: whether you qualify for a managed program and how competitively your profile may rank. MZIC helps you understand both before you decide what to do next.
How the system works

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada uses Express Entry to manage applications for three federal economic immigration programs. Eligible candidates create a profile, enter the pool and receive a Comprehensive Ranking System score. IRCC then conducts invitation rounds under the rules and priorities in effect at that time.
Category-based rounds may focus on factors such as French-language ability, specified work experience or education. Candidates must still qualify for an Express Entry-managed program and meet the requirements of the particular invitation round.

Express Entry FAQs
Is Express Entry an immigration program?
Express Entry is the online system IRCC uses to manage applications for the Canadian Experience Class, Federal Skilled Worker Program and Federal Skilled Trades Program.
Is the FSW 67-point score the same as a CRS score?
No. The Federal Skilled Worker selection grid helps determine eligibility for that program. The Comprehensive Ranking System ranks eligible profiles in the Express Entry pool.
Do I need a job offer for Express Entry?
A job offer is not required for the Canadian Experience Class or Federal Skilled Worker Program. Federal Skilled Trades applicants generally need a qualifying job offer or a Canadian certificate of qualification.
Does entering the pool guarantee an invitation?
No. Eligibility to enter the pool does not guarantee an invitation to apply. Invitation rounds, category requirements and CRS cut-offs can change.
