What counts as qualifying arranged employment?

The offer must generally be from a Canadian employer for continuous, paid, full-time work of at least 30 hours per week, be non-seasonal, last at least 1 year, and be in NOC TEER 0, 1, 2 or 3. Additional LMIA, work-permit, current-employer or LMIA-exemption conditions apply depending on your situation. A normal job offer or a work permit alone does not automatically qualify.

Qualifying relative details

The relative must live in Canada, be at least 18, and be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident. Recognized relationships include eligible parents, grandparents, children, grandchildren, siblings, aunts or uncles, and nieces or nephews of the applicant or spouse or partner. Cousins are not included.

Only select the spouse-language factor when the approved test result will be valid on the day the permanent residence application is submitted. Combined adaptability points are automatically capped at 10.
